Dyslexia Matters is owned and operated by Amanda du Toit, a licensed Davis Facilitator, who is dedicated and passionate about helping individuals of all ages conquer their learning difficulties through the implementation of the Davis™ Correction Programmes.
The Davis Programmes were developed almost 30 years ago and have helped thousands of people from all over the world overcome their learning difficulties, resulting in many of those people leading their lives in a more successful and fulfilled way.
If you are unsure whether it is dyslexia that is affecting you, or your child, have a look at the Characteristics of Dyslexia, or take a free on-line assessment.
Dyslexia is used as an umbrella term to cover not only problems with reading, but also many other related learning disability categories. Davis methods have been used successfully to bring about improvement for the following conditions:
No two individuals are completely alike, and it is the same with dyslexics. This means that each individual will present with a different set of learning problems and there could be an overlap of labels and conditions. For this reason, we avoid the “one-size-fits-all” approach and rather tailor the programme to fit the individual’s needs and their expectations for the programme.
An assessment is done at the initial consultation to establish the individual’s needs and goals, as well as to ascertain how well suited the Davis approach will be to meet those needs.
