Teachers could identify my son had difficulty reading but had no logical reasoning why or how to help him. Dyslexia Matters and Amanda has given my son confidence and self-esteem to take control. “Gregor’s experience with Amanda has been hugely positive. The Davis Programme has helped Gregor adjust his spelling but more so his way of thinking and his attitude towards reading and writing. Amanda has also helped Gregor with his concentration which has impacted on his school work this year. Gregor’s teachers have confirmed that they have seen a remarkable improvement in Gregor’s attitude towards schoolwork which has led to better results.
In the past, I asked two schools if Gregor should be assessed as I had concerns about his spelling and some behavioural patterns, only to be told that he had not grasped the basic concepts of spelling. Gregor took part in several reading schemes only to find that within several months he was back where he started. When Amanda first assessed Gregor we came out and Gregor said ‘I’m not stupid it’s just my brain works differently’ - this was the start of a new boy!”

“As a person who has struggled with reading all my life, I never imagined that at 43 I would find a program what would make such a difference. I am a lot more confident in my ability and using the techniques I have learnt. They really do work.
I was gifted to have 3 beautiful boys, all who having reading issues. The positive side of this is that it focused me to find something to help them and in turn it helped me. Lachlan, my eldest who is 9, is now interested in reading after having done the Davis program. For the first time ever, he will pick up his book and read without me asking him to. He uses his tools at school and said it makes learning so much easier. We still continue to work with the modelling clay letters and will until they are all complete. Amanda was a wonderful and caring teacher and even today still continues to be a wonderful support to my family.
